Europa in einer nahen Zukunft. Deutschland nimmt keine Flüchtlinge mehr auf. Die einzige Möglichkeit, eine Aufenthaltsgenehmigung zu erhalten, ist die Teilnahme an der Internet- und Fernseh-Show 'Immigration Game'. Wer dort als 'Runner' mitmacht, wird am Berliner Stadtrand ausgesetzt und muss sich seinen lebensgefährlichen Weg bis zum Fernsehturm bahnen. Dabei kann jeder deutsche Bürger für ein Preisgeld Jagd auf die Flüchtlinge machen und sie straffrei töten. Als der Versicherungsangestellte Joe (Mathis Landwehr) einem Flüchtling hilft und dabei in Notwehr einen 'Hunter' tötet, droht ihm eine lebenslange Haftstrafe. Es sei denn, er nimmt selbst als 'Runner' am 'Immigration Game' teil. Um das Spiel zu überleben, muss Joe seine eigene Menschlichkeit und Moral in die Waagschale werfen.
Europe in a near future. Germany is no longer taking in refugees. The only way to obtain a residence permit is to participate in the internet and television show 'Immigration Game'. Anyone who takes part as a 'runner' is abandoned on the outskirts of Berlin and has to make their way to the TV Tower. Every German citizen can hunt down the refugees for prize money and kill them with impunity. When insurance clerk Joe (Mathis Landwehr) helps a refugee and kills a 'Hunter' in self-defense, he is threatened with life imprisonment. Unless he himself takes part in the 'Immigration Game' as a 'runner'. To survive the game, Joe must bring his own humanity and morality to the table.
