The kidnapping of his daughter leads cop Lee Chung-Chi (Louis Koo) from Hong Kong to Bangkok. There he comes across an organ trafficking ring whose participants will stop at nothing. Local police officers are also powerless against the large-scale conspiracy. The desperate father soon loses hope of finding his daughter alive in the Thai metropolis. How far is he willing to go?
With the furious 'Kill Zone SPL' and the martial arts trilogy about the 'Ip Man', director Wilson Yip wrote Hong Kong action history. 'Paradox - Kill Zone Bangkok' (2017) is Hong Kong's answer to the successful 'Taken' series. But while Liam Neeson's campaign of revenge bows to the mainstream, Yip goes all out uncompromisingly in his hard-hitting action thriller. Three Hong Kong film awards for lead actor Louis Koo, the action choreography and sound design as well as two Asian film awards for Koo and as best action film are the well-deserved reward.
